Group Presentation Summaries

  Fiorella Mora. As a class leader I had the privilege to listen to every group present and give my input on their presentations. I felt like they all did a great job considering the fact that it was their first time presenting this semester.  Group 1 gave us information on "How To Prepare For A Speech". Starting off, the presentation was great. They talked on introducing yourself before the speech so the audience gets to familiarize themselves with the speaker.They also talked about speeches not being longer than 5 minutes, to keep the audience engaged and for them to be able to remember everything you talked about. They also spoke on selecting a good topic you are very knowledgeable on, to come off as a speaker who knows what they are talking about and have the audience to gain that trust in the speaker. The speaker should be very interactive with the audience and have their attention throughout the whole talk. Overall I feel like i learned a lot from group 1 and definitely...

Reflections on the first presentation

  Since I was one of the leaders in this class, I had the advantage of seeing everyone else presenting and catching on their strategies. It seemed that all presenters were very comfortable on presenting and they rarely showed any sign on nervousness.  The most challenging aspect of these presentations was using meaningful multimedia.  It could also be very challenging when we have a lot to share but do not know how to properly deliver the message in a logical order.  While watching the recordings of these presentations, I was able to identify that this challenge was evident although presenters tried to hide it as they were speaking.  The most surprising aspect of their speech was that they effectively used their slides to support their message and doing it remotely.  This might have always been an easy thing, but because of Covid-19 it might have been a little harder for presenters, so it is a great aspect.
